Meet Our Caucus Members

Josue Ortega is a Wilmington native who works to serve his community. As a boy, his father Demetrio inspired him in his role as a city council member to work with— and for—his neighbors. He has worked for over ten years for the City of Wilmington and New Castle County as a public servant, connecting the people to the services available to them. In particular, he has focused on housing services and community involvement. His mission is to bring the concerns of Wilmington to Dover.

Josue lives with his wife and four children on the north side of Hedgeville.  As an active member of his community, he coaches his son’s baseball team and participates in or hosts many local events— like St Anthony’s Italian Festival and Reggae in the Park.
